# Derivatives Trading

Perpetuals are the first derivatives product available on Renegade Exchange. Perpetuals allow traders to purchase and sell the value of their 'assets' without ever trading the underlying asset itself, allowing them to better control risk. Perpetuals do not expire or have a settlement date, and users can keep their holdings indefinitely.
